Boston Women’s Portrait Session

When Enna reached out to me about a Boston women’s portrait session, she started by saying that the prior year was very challenging for her: “I overcame a lot, found strength to persevere and focused on my children and trying to move forward. This would be an opportunity for me to display strength, passion, love! As I embark in one of the most exciting years of my life, to have turned things around is honestly a blessing. I am a Latina woman who aspires to accomplish so much more in life. “ I was immediately excited to give her a call and learn more!

Boston Women’s Portraits

Enna is a giver to her children, her colleagues and her community, so it was truly special to take the time out to make these portraits to celebrate her! Through getting to know her leading up to this portrait session I was so inspired. Enna is a leader in the Boston Chapter of Alpfa and I can see how proud she is of the truly powerful events they organize to help Latinos achieve personal and professional success. She doesn’t just talk the talk, this woman is focused on improving her life, and those around her!

I met up with Enna to capture some glamour portraits and also to celebrate her strength. It wasn’t just a portrait session, it was about female empowerment. Enna wore her favorite dress and glowed with confidence. Her makeup was done by Veronica Nunes and from the very first photograph, I could see Enna’s passion and confidence.

My personal favorite moment happened after the session, when we did the cinematic premiere of her photographs. Together, we designed a piece Enna was truly proud to display in her home because it was a reflection of how far she had come, a milestone for her life, and it would inspire her children.

As a Boston photographer, it makes me happy to create empowering experiences through portraiture for women. It was such a pleasure to meet and work with Enna on this portrait session.
