Emily’s Spark Session
Earlier this year, I launched Spark by Lindsay Hite, a brand new kind of portrait experience for female-identifying people to celebrate their beauty. I wanted to embrace my passion for enabling women to see their own beauty, confidence, and power and offer a complete, full service photography experience.
When Emily reached out to me about doing a Spark session, I knew she was ready to embrace her strength, and rock this session. She said, “I would love to celebrate my scar tissue, show the world the beauty I see from my diabetes and insulin needles!”
Emily was just 11 years old when she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, but she has embraced the challenges of her diagnosis with courage, determination, and positivity from Day 1. Now Emily is in her mid-twenties and I was so impressed by her outlook: she sees her diabetes as a gift that has allowed her to see her own strength. And she has embraced her new lifestyle with open arms.
I’ll let Emily tell you in her own words what this session means and what strength it gives her:
Having my collection of Spark photographs means that I will always be able to look back on a time that I felt empowered and confident. This is so important to me, because I think that it’s important to remember that I AM empowered, strong, and sexy!
To anyone who is considering having her own Spark Experience, I would say go for it! It was such a fun experience. I felt glamorous and beautiful the entire time. The end result is completely amazing and definitely worth your time. One of the best experiences I ever had.
Emily, thank you for sharing your courage and your strength with me during our session together. I am amazed by you and am so glad that the world can see the beauty you have! Hair and make-up was done by the fantastic team at Alison Harper & Company
