Jordan + Jake Forever Session

I met up with Jordan and Jake for a Forever Session for their anniversary at their home and at Larz Anderson Park.

I had photographed Jordan and Jake’s wedding last year so, celebrating their life together now, with their new furry family member, was the perfect way to mark that anniversary.

They brought their dog Rosie to the session, and right from the start, it was clear to see that the two of them absolutely adore her. I love seeing the three of them interacting with one another; you can feel the affection they have for each other. You can tell by just watching them they are so grateful to have each other in their lives. Jordan and Jake both told me that they knew Rosie was meant to be part of their family from the very first glimpse they had of her at the shelter, and that bond has only been strengthened since then.

In fact, one of my favorite moments in the whole session involved Rosie. Rosie licked Jordan’s nose, and that made Jake laugh so much- that moment of spontaneity perfectly encapsulated all three of their personalities. I also really enjoy the photograph of Rosie at Jordan and Jake’s feet on the bed. In that one photograph, you can feel how relaxed they are—totally comfortable and at home together.

When we were preparing for their Forever Session, I asked each of them a few questions about the other person, and Jordan remarked that Jake feels like home. The two of them love to go on adventures abroad, but no matter where they are in the world, Jordan always feels like she is home when she’s around Jake and now they share that security with Rosie.
