Braintree Forever Session

With a spring wedding on the horizon next year, Liz and Shaun wanted to take some time this summer to celebrate their everyday life at home with their pups, Mary and Jimmy. Liz told me how much she loves the “comfortable chaos” of home; she loves having a place where she and Shaun can let down their hair and relax together away from their busy lives.

To that end, one of my favorite moments was when Liz and Shaun danced together on the beach. I can tell these two don’t take a single moment for granted, and they do things like this all the time: always being totally present for one another. Their respect and admiration for each other is wonderful to see.

And then, there were the dogs! I love seeing people’s genuine love for their dogs, especially the layered dynamics of family life and the excitement of capturing an unexpected story in a single frame. One of my favorite photos from this session was when Jimmy and Mary were playing. Liz and Shaun were sharing a moment in the background, blissfully unaware of Mary (the puppy) playfully sneak-attacking Jimmy!

Liz has actually had Jimmy since before she met Shaun, so we also got a picture of the two of them on the couch. They are the Original Two! Dogs are such faithful companions and see us through so much, even as life changes and evolves. It’s such an honor to celebrate and capture that relationship for people so they can be reminded of the unconditional love and support from their canine companions for years to come. Photographs like this one warm my heart.

Forever Session Cinematic Premiere

In the afternoon following our morning session, Liz and Shaun enjoyed a cinematic premiere of the photographs. We designed their artwork so they could enjoy their favorite photographs each and every day in their home! Then, when Liz and Shaun received their portrait box full of matted fine art prints, they sent me a photo of their finished wall art installed in their home. I am always honored to see my work hanging in homes.
