Nicole on the Beach
In just about one month, my beautiful cousin will become a mother to someone who is certain to be a handsome, and well loved little boy.
When we were little, I would count down the days to the week in the summer when Nicole and her sister Brooke would come visit us and make my life much more interesting and fun. We’d laugh until our cheeks hurt, and there were tears were in our eyes. We’d spend all afternoon in Faneuil Hall debating which was the absolute best charm necklace to splurge her $20 vacation money on, and then fall asleep on the Duck Tours. Wait… that falling asleep part was just me. Nicole was soaking up every fact, and listening intently to all the history. She is now a music teacher, and I can see how much she loves helping children learn.
When I watched Nicole get married last year, I realized that there are so many journeys still to come as we forge our own families, and remain friends. I’m so excited to witness this patient, talented woman parent this little boy with her kind and thoughtful husband. I’m already learning so much from you, Nicole. I can’t wait to kiss his little face.
